About me

Dr. Sizheng Fan will graduate from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and receive Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. Wei Cai and Prof. Hsien-da Huang in March 2023. He worked as a research assistant in Human-Crypto Society Laboratory , CUHK(SZ)-White Matrix Joint Metaverse Laboratory, Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society (AIRS) and Warshel Institute for Computational Biology. Before studying in CUHK-Shenzhen, he received B.Eng degree from Beijing Institute of Technology, supervised by Prof. Yuyang You.

Dr. Fan has co-authored more than ten journal/conference papers and received one best paper awards in the area of network economics and decentralized systems. His recent research interests are mainly in the topic of human factors in metaverse/Web3, including blockchain, Human-centered computing, and NFTfi.

Specifically, he is fascinated by the problems related to decentralized communities and business models. Concrete examples of these include dynamics of pricing, competition/cooperation, user behavior, incentive mechanism design.
